This Earth Week, dozens of Green-minded students, alums and their  families will get together to restore habitat along Strawberry Creek.

Join us for a morning of fun, fellowship --

and eradication of non-native plants!

About the Day...

This Service Day is a great way to give back to Cal and help bring biodiversity back to Strawberry Creek.  We will start at 10 AM with a check-in and debrief on the North side of the Alumni House, and quickly move to ivy and weed removal along Strawberry Creek.  Gloves, tools and trashbags will be provided by Cal.  Coffee, tea and water will be available for a small donation.

More about Restoration at Cal...

This Service Day is part of a multiyear project of weed removal and native plant re-vegetation of the Strawberry Creek watershed.  The project will remove Periwinkle, English Ivy,and other species of significant concern to California wildlands. These areas will later be re-planted with locally native plants to improve habitat, water quality, educational opportunities and aesthetic conditions.
